Photoshoppy sketch! Not worksafe. I have such a tendancy to go straight to black, really push the contrast. Made a concious effort to keep the contrast down in this piece. I also tried to keep away from details, gave it more of a loose look.

Yay to my friend, Phil, he gave me a bunch of new music (240 or so songs). I'm so happy, sometimes I forget how much good music inspires me.

I got a set of rapidograph pens; I'm really interested to try those out.

What else. Oh yeah, we made bagels the other day. Very tasty, I'm looking forward to trying some variations: mini bagels, chocolate bagels, herb bagels, bagel holes.

Totally in a baking mood now. Besides bagels, planning on making some french bread, wheat bread, cinnamon bread, tiramisu, cheesecake ... and probably other things I haven't thought of yet ^_^

I'm gonna take it easy today. Play around a bit and draw. In the evening we're gonna meet up with my mom to do the whole Harry Potter book line thing. I haven't read the books, but my mom is so excited, we thought we'd keep her company.

I downloaded the trial version of Painter X a few weeks ago, finally opened the thing up today and started playing around. Did a rough sketch of a zombie, then started working on the background. So far I really like the Pen tool, haven't seriously tried any of the other tools yet.

Need to start refining the sketch and then I'll color it. I have no idea what style I'll go for. Black & white, low saturation colors or what. Don't know what tool I want to color with either. I'd love to do Oils, but I think that'd be too much for me on this pic. Sorta want something simpler, but who knows : )

Was practicing perspective today. Drew a background from the manga Soul Eater and threw in one of the characters (I love this manga, btw!).

Now I twiddle my thumbs while the single player demo for Ghost Recon downloads. Game comes out in a week or two, Pondy is getting it for me for my bday. Yay :D

I really haven't been drawing at all since I got home (from house-sitting). I'm bummed; I had so many projects I was working on! I've been putting all my energy into a new client and just haven't made the time to work on my personal stuff. Been feeling tired and haven't forced myself to get past that.

So!

Tonight I get at least one request finished (3 more to go, omg so late).

Think about a schedule for my personal projects.

In other news, we started watching the Battlestar Galactica series, pretty good so far.

I got nothing done yesterday, just had a hard time focusing. So today I shall create a to do list, as suggested by the pondy.

-Finish 2 requests
-Draw for at least an hour
-Do illustration/mockup for client cuz I need this job ^_^
-Work on anatomy study in Zbrush

Hopefully I'm not annoying anyone with all these drawble requests, but here I go again! Hoping to get a lot of drawing done this weekend, so hit me with any requests you can think of! Not sure what my internet connectivity will be, but hopefully I'll be able to post as normal.

Started watching FMA again, yay! I love that show. Watched the first episode of Kiba the other day, that was good as well. And rewatched the first episode of Girl meets Girl, so cute! and silly!

Did I mention I have a Uruhara hat? Pondy keeps getting a kick out of it, feeling like uruhara is following her everywhere (oh, I sorta have his hair right now too, so that helps).

I'm doing a second set of requests, the last set was so helpful...it really got me drawing a lot.

Any character, any fandom, character etc. I just ask that it be kept to a single character and no specific poses...that keeps the pressure/stress off and I can just have fun : ) Oh, and feel free to request the same character as before, I'm game for it all!

So I'm taking art requests. I've really been trying to focus on my drawing and I thought this would be a good way to give me some deadline type things. Plus drawing stuff for friends is just fun!

Any character from any series is quite acceptable. If I don't know the character, I'll try and find some references or request that you re-request ; )

Just started working on a Bleach Comic, yay! This started as some sketches of Kon (I was using my keychain as reference) and realized I could make a short comic out of it. And then I wanted to make more!

Yay, exercising again! Got a cheap mountainbike, been going to Nisene Marks (sp?), lots of fun on the trails. Went skimboarding with my brother the last few days. Feel like an old man, muscles so tired! Had a rather interesting experience. I was at the beach yesterday for about 2.5 hours. Drove into Santa Cruz to get some matte board and something felt off. I didn't realize what at first, but something was wrong with my vision. Pulled over and did a simple test...turned out I had a temporary blind spot. Was kinda creepy, but thanks to my psychology class, I knew what was going on. 30 mins later and I was fine.

Just turned in my first project for photography, fairly happy with it. Did a shoot of smoke...I'll post some shots when I get them back.

Excited, going to the anatomy lab at school tomorrow, getting access to the cadavers for drawing purposes. Going to ask if I can photograph them too :D

Started animating again recently, did a basic walk cycle tutorial. Was so much fun. I want to try it on my own now and do some variations (run cycle, ninja run cycle with kunai, zombie walk/shuffle cycle).

Yay, all done with finals. Didn't get enough sleep, worked myself sick...ugh. Just glad it's behind me. Don't know what I got on my philosophy exam, but I felt good about it...finished it in about 30 mins. Went home to work on Pond's final...that's just not right! :D

I jumped onboard her animation project, fun fun. We came nowhere near to completing it, but I'm very happy with what we've got so far. Still have a lot to texture in the scene and I have a lot of work to do on the animation rig (and so much to learn!).

Got my second philosophy paper back, this one was a three page dealy. I got a 74/75, yay! As usual I waited to the last minute and wrote it the night before :p One day I'll learn.

Work was busy tonight, everyone was out gearing up for the holiday. I'm working Tday which sorta sucks. I'm actually working through the whole weekend, which really sucks. Friday is the busiest day of the y ear, it's gonna be scary.

Umm. I love the Tactics world! ffxii is much with the fun :D

I need to redo my hair...didn't leave it in long enough so it has pretty much washed out. Think I might try and get the rest out, bleach my hair and go with that for a while, then go back to red. Or something :D
